Almost everyone reads magazines:
- Some 77 per cent of adults - 82.3 per cent of women and 71.3 per cent of men - read one of the 170 or so cosumer magazines measured by NRS.*
- Nearly all (99 per cent) business decision-makers read business magazines as a way of keeping up-to-date with their industry, more than any other medium.
- Magazine readership is heaviest among key demographic groups such as ABC1s (81.3 per cent read a magazine measured by NRS).
- The average paid for magazine is read for 54 minutes.
- Only a few general interest magazines - such as the TV listings titles - have reader profiles that closely mirror the population profile.
- This reflects the strongly targeted nature of the medium.
